Location Data: Coarse and fine location data to track devices in case of theft or severe EMI default, if permitted by the retailer/admin.
App Activity: Information regarding installed applications and app usage statistics to prevent circumvention of the locking mechanism.
2. Device Administrator & Enterprise Permissions
Important Notice Regarding Device Control:
SkySolutions EMI Locker requires Device Administrator (Device Policy Controller/DPC) privileges and may utilize Zero-Touch Enrollment (ZTE) or Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) APIs.
By granting these permissions, you acknowledge that the application can:
Restrict access to the device or specific applications (Device Lock).
Wipe device data remotely in extreme cases of default or theft (Factory Reset Protection).
Prevent uninstallation of the SkySolutions EMI Locker application.
Display overlay screens reminding the user of pending EMI payments.
3. Accessibility Services API Usage
Google Play Store Compliance Disclosure:
This app uses the Android Accessibility Service API exclusively to prevent unauthorized uninstallation of the app, unauthorized factory resets, and modifications to device administrative settings that would bypass the EMI lock. We do not use the Accessibility API to read your personal messages, passwords, or personal data.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information primarily to enforce the terms of your EMI financing agreement:
To monitor device status and verify active network connections.
To issue payment reminders via push notifications or screen overlays.
To restrict device functionality if scheduled EMI payments are missed.
To prevent tampering, unauthorized flashing, or bypassing of the locker software.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. However, we may share your information in the following situations:
With Financing Partners: We share device status, lock status, and identification numbers (IMEI) with the retailer, bank, or Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) that provided your device loan.
For Legal Obligations: If required by law enforcement, court order, or government regulation, we may disclose your information to comply with legal processes.
With Service Providers: We may share data with third-party cloud hosting providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) who assist us in operating our infrastructure, under strict confidentiality agreements.
6. User Rights and App Uninstallation
Because SkySolutions EMI Locker acts as a security measure for a financial agreement, you cannot manually uninstall the application or revoke Device Administrator permissions while your EMI is active.
Upon full repayment of your loan, your financing provider will update your status in our system. Once confirmed, the app will automatically release all device restrictions, remove itself from Device Administrator status, and allow you to safely uninstall it from your device.
7. Data Retention
We retain your device and EMI status data only for as long as your financing agreement remains active. Once the loan is marked as "Fully Paid" and the app is uninstalled, we will securely delete or anonymize your device-specific tracking data within 90 days, retaining only basic transaction logs as required for tax and legal compliance.
8. Data Security
We implement robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal and device information. All communication between the device client and our administrative servers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS). However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of our databases.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
